Experience Glasgow Food & Drink
Newly formed Experience Glasgow Food & Drink is an extension of Experience Glasgow, the umbrella organisation for the tourism and hospitality sector in Glasgow.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Experience Glasgow set out to formally establish a Regional Food Group for the city and coordinate a simplified action plan that makes it easier for Glasgow’s sectors to respond to Glasgow City Food Plan and Food Tourism Scotland 2030.
We will champion the interests of both the supplier (producers/manufacturers) and demand side (hospitality and residents) towards better outcomes for our communities, businesses and the city.
We will help aid the recovery of our key sectors by aiming to:
- Bridge the gap between suppliers and buyers – providing opportunities to collaborate, share and do business;
- Raise profile of the sector, including local producers/growers/manufacturers and hospitality businesses;
- Support to grow your customer base through the development of authentic bookable food and drink experiences for locals and visitors;
- Help businesses to operate more sustainably and profitably;
- Add value – by identifying opportunities to reduce waste, energy and increase the profitability of your businesses.
