Emma Clark
Emma is a true island girl born and raised on Islay and passionate about what is right on her doorstep. She trained as a nurse at Robert Gordon, Aberdeen, then studied Hospitality Management in Glasgow. After graduating, she worked in pharmaceuticals within the urology sector. She now owns and runs five-star gold Glenegedale House on the island of Islay Argyll with her husband Graeme. She is chair of the island’s very active local Destination Management Organisation, Explore Islay and Jura, and Vice Chair and Director for Argyll and the Isles Tourism Cooperative.
Her lifetime goal is to showcase Scotland as the leading world-class destination for food and drink by promoting local produce and teaching the buyer, regardless of skillset, how best to prepare, cook and enjoy it.
